There is no substitute for a person checking the price. Quote calculators can be acceptable for getting an idea of a price but, they always have some routes that are wildly inaccurate.
Instant quotes work by assigning a price per mile with a multiplier depending on the size of your car. Most do not factor in the size of he seasonal changes in price, popularity of the route, etc. The price is rarely correct, you either pay too much or you do not pay enough and lose time until the company inevitably comes back to you for more money. We take into account all of those factors but we also do two things instant quotes cannot do, we look at vehicles we have moved in the past along the same route and we talk to our drivers. Because of this we feel that we have the most accurate estimates in the industry, and that is important.
Whatever reason you are shipping your car, knowing the actual price is essential. If you are buying a car the shipping rate will affect how much you are willing to pay. If you are moving the price will affect how much you budget for your other moving expenses.
